HOMEMADE HEALTHY NUTELLA

If you love chocolate, then you have to love Nutella! Okay I lied, I wasn’t really much of a chocolate lover, but there was something about Nutella that was so addictive! Being the typical girl, I would eat based on my mood, so I would have a few tablespoons with strawberries or toast if I was happy, or eat the whole jar with a spoon if I was stressed or upset. I’m glad I got to say goodbye to those stress eating days, and even more glad that I came across this healthy sugar free recipe on Mariel’s website (amazingpaleo.com)! Yes people, you can still enjoy Nutella and not fall off your fitness goals. 😀

Recipe:
2 cups hazelnuts
3 tbsp raw cacao powder (or 10 drops of stevia if you want it sugar free)
1 tbsp organic coconut palm sugar
2 tbsp organic cold pressed coconut oil (melted)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Place hazelnuts on a non stick baking sheet and roast hazelnuts for 12 minutes
When ready, let it sit out overnight on the counter.
Take the shells off the hazelnuts the next day (the shells should fall off easily)
Place hazelnuts in food processor and pulse for 3 minutes until buttery consistency forms.
Add cacao powder and palm sugar and pulse for another 2 minutes, then add coconut oil and pulse again until all ingredients are well incorporated.
Pour mixture into a mason jar or ramekin dish that has a cover and place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Enjoy with anything when ready 🙂
